Retreats

 

Retreats are an essential component in developing your mindfulness practice. They allow you enough time to really slow down, experience tranquillity, and reflect more deeply.

In the early years of retreat experience the teacher will guide you in all your activities, with regular group teaching sessions and/or private interviews throughout the day, although part of this will be setting exercises and meditations which are carried out alone. As one becomes more experienced and comfortable with retreats, guidance from the teacher may be as little as once or twice a day.

We hold our retreats at Maitreya House. This is a small centre in a beautiful, quiet, remote corner of the Herefordshire hills. We generally limit numbers to 7 people ( which means that 3 will have single rooms, 4 in doubles).

We welcome anyone with mindfulness or meditation experience. Complete beginners should start with our 9 week online course or equivalent.

You can book on to the retreats now with a £100 deposit (but please note cancellation policy). The full cost is payable one month beforehand. Please contact us if you are financially challenged and we’ll see what we can do.
